Dear Mr Lake:
Thank you for writing about sanitary food transportion. Your thoughts and concerns are very important and I appreciate that you have taken the time to share them with me.
My efforts in the next few weeks will be focused on the actions necessary to help New York State and our nation recover from the horrific events of September 11. Already the Congress has allocated 40 billion dollars for immediate emergency relief, national security and counter-terrorism, and to help us rebuild in New York and Virginia. Additional legislation will provide for expedited processing of benefits under the Federal Public Safety Officers Benefit Program for the families of many of the rescue workers who were lost in thr tragedy.
Please know that as the Senate returns to deliberation of the many other important issues facing our county, I will keep your concerns in mind. At this tragic time, I ask that you join your paryers with mine for the victims and for their families.
